The purpose of this project was to redesign an existing package, and involved creating dielines, a physical model, a 3d rendered model, and an ad campaign. The product chosen to redesign is Secret's Clinical Strength Antiperspirant, because the original packaging contained too many elements, leading to it producing excess waste and being environmentally unsustainable.
The redesigned package was created from cardboard to address the sustainability issue. Custom dielines were made for an oval shaped package and they included a tear away mechanism for easily dispensing the product without losing structural integrity, a common problem found in preliminary research.
Typography was carefully considered due to limited space and legibility requirements for medically labeled products. The colour blue was chosen for the package because of it's association to Secret products already, but also because there was a lack of this colour on the store shelves, allowing differentiation among the competition. The 3-d model was created with Adobe Dimension.
Finally, an ad campaign was created for the product "relaunch," which includes an instagram ad, a facebook ad, and a magazine print ad. These used AI tools for the figures in the composition.
